I am so excited to debut Bookish Bingo on Pretty Deadly Reviews. This feature is my brain baby and I knew I couldn’t let it go. I hope you’ll all join me in this challenge – I think I cooked up a great new card for you guys!

I know I’m posting this a month early, the beginning of June instead of the end of the month. But it’s been driving me crazy for so long that it doesn’t really line up with the actual seasons. But now that it will be going on through June, July and August, it lines up perfectly with summer and with my sensibilities. I understand that there are a lot of people doing Spring Bingo right now and this might cause some challenges. You can quit the old bingo card if you’d like, or you can overlap your books and do both at the same time: for instance, Heir of Fire has a green cover, and it also fits at couple categories on the new card, so you can count it toward both if you want to. It’s all up to you!

I’ll also be reinstating the giveaway portion of Bookish Bingo! The more you cover on the card, the more entries you get. The giveaway will be for a June, July, or August release of your choice, as long as The Book Depository ships to you. The giveaway will be posted at the end of the summer.

So are you ready to see the new card? Drum roll….

  1. Yay! Thanks for hosting this! I’ll be Tweeting and have a page on my blog and Goodreads for this. I’m goodreads.com/foreverbookish and the blog page will prob be foreverbookish.com/bookishbingo

    Thanks!

  2. I will most definitely be making an effort this time despite not having any idea how much reading time I will get this summer. I WANT TO DO BINGO, DAMMIT. I keep telling myself every time a new sheet is up that I’m going to try and then things get away from me so I can’t, but this time I WILL.
I’ll log the reading on Goodreads I suppose because that’s easiest right now. https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/7563825-jessica
    Also, awesome categories, Bekka πŸ™‚

    • You just open the image up in an image editor, like Paint or Photoshop or PicMonkey and add whatever symbol you’d like. πŸ™‚

  3. Pffft, me signing up right before the deadline is up. GOOD GOING, AP. NEARLY MISSING IT WHEN YOU’RE ALREADY FIVE BOOKS IN.

But yeah, you know I’m in for this as always on my blog. πŸ˜€

    • I honestly hadn’t thought of it, but if you think it’d be helpful to post a wrap up, I can write one up for Sunday πŸ™‚

  4. So here’s the thing. I JUST found out about this. So I’m going to place the books I read in June to as many appropriate squares as I can (so I don’t feel so behind) and pretend that I saw this before because this card is AWESOME! I thought Bookish Bingo was gone forever, now I have two fun challenges to take part in (I’m doing Story Sprites too)! Thank you! πŸ™‚

    • There’s been some confusion lately so I went ahead and opened sign up until mid July, so you’re in! Thanks for joining πŸ˜€

  5. I’m in…I like that the bingo cards will now align with the seasons as well! I recently took an (unexpected) hiatus from blogging and did not do so well on the Spring Bingo but am ready to try to get at least one bingo line on this card! Looks like I’m signing up just in the nick of time! Thank goodness for summer vacation to make up for my being out of the loop, right!?!
