Epic Recs is a recommendations program/challenge/book club hosted by Amber and Judith where each month you and a partner recommend one (or more!) books to each other.
So May went not-so-great. I tried (really, I did) to read The Start of Me and You (I even bought a hardcover!) but it just wasn’t a Bekka book. Nothing against it, but so not my thing. Lili got way busy – with the end of the semester comes finals and final days at her internship so it was bound to happen. So, Epic Recs is more like an Epic Fail. But not this month!
Lili’s pick: Lili picked Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins for me to read this month. I know I say I don’t like fluffier books, but I’ve got a good gut feeling about this one. And considering it’s been on my shelf since like 2012, I think it’s time I finally read it. Lili was saying this book is a right of passage for YA bloggers and I totally agree. I feel like the only one who hasn’t read it yet!
My pick: For Lili I’m keeping my recommendation of The Storyspinner by Becky Wallace because I still fully believe she’ll love it and I really want to see what she thinks of it. I AM DYING FOR THE SEQUEL. *ahem*
Have you read either of these titles? Let me know what you thought of them!
