For a few months now I’ve been subscribed to the Uppercase subscription box. It’s a monthly YA box of bookish goodies plus one book. I absolutely love it and think it’s definitely worth the price. For one thing, the book is signed, and for another, it helps curb spending. I always wait to find out what the Uppercase book is going to be before I make any obvious new release purchases.
I always include the book I get in my Stacking the Shelves posts, but I thought it’d be fun to share everything on a blog post. Maybe it will help you decide if this is the right book subscription box for you. Every box comes with online codes for added “reading experiences” to go with your book. There’s also a handful of goodies that never feel like little bits of plastic, but instead are actually useful, cute items.
The book this month was By Your Side by Kasie West. I’m really excited about it on a few levels. I know everyone loves West’s books, but I haven’t actually read anything by her yet! Also I recently saw someone talking about this in their monthly book haul and it sounded adorable, so I actually almost bought it. But it was 3am and I was distracted by the baby. This book is apparently about a couple who gets stuck in a library together over the weekend. When I actually get a chance to read, I’m excited to get to something light, fluffy, and hopefully quick to get through and entertaining.
Along with the codes for the “reading experiences” and a cute little bookish Valentine, these are the goodies that came in the box. The tea sounds awesome, but it’s been in the 60s here so I’m not really into hot tea right now. On the back of the “I Love YA” sticker is a coupon code for 25% off a bunch of Epic Reads books. The key necklace has “221B” on it, which I love because somehow I’ve become Sherlock trash even though I hate it.
There you have it! This post wasn’t in any way sponsored by Uppercase. I’ve been a paying member for a while now and I just wanted to show my appreciation. I’ve been subscribed to a few different boxes over the last year or so, and this one is by far my favorite!
