Sooo a whole lot of noting happened in my life this week. Womp womp. It was a really laid back first week of July, and I liked it that way. Now that I’m looking back, I can’t seem to remember doing anything. Oh well. Lazy summers and all that.

One cool thing that happened this week was getting a new phone! But of course, the one I buy has a manufacturer’s defect and doesn’t keep time right, so I have to exchange it. I might not even get the same phone because I’m worried about it happening again. BUT, I really, really love this phone so I don’t even know.

I also hit a bit of a reading slump that I think might have actually been a book hangover from reading Illuminae. I hadn’t read anything since the 1st of July which had me feeling pretty down, but then I blazed through Survive the Night in two sittings. So I think my slump is officially over, though I am moving at a slower pace.

this week

I wrapped up Spring Bingo – and don’t forget, sign-ups for Summer Bingo are still open. Just click the banner in the sidebar
I reviewed The Night We Said Yes which I really, really enjoyed
I talked about ten hyped books I still haven’t read
I made some goals for the second half of 2015
I talked a little bit about annotating books

tbr for 7/12-7/18

Despite doing terrible this week on my tbr, I still want to keep trying. This week I want to read:

A Darker Shade of Magic
Jurassic Park

I’m going to leave it at those two as my primary goal. If I do more, then great! But I don’t want to push myself.

book haul

My book haul this week is pretty small, which is fine, because I need to slow down the book-buying for a little bit. But what I did get, I’m so excited about.

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
Survive the Night by Danielle Vega
Ink & Bone by Rachel Caine

Hideous Love by Stephanie Hemphill

That’s it for me! How was your week?

Everyone talking about their Illuminae book hangover is making me a bit nervous. I traded my ARC of 99 Days for it so it should arrive sometime this week but do I read it right away or wait? The last time I had a book hangover was in January after I read All The Bright Places and A Monster Calls back to back and I felt dead inside for a week.
