Hi everyone! The last two weeks have been, once again, crazy. I didn’t realize how full my days and my schedule would be just by adding one more person to our family. But now it seems like every day is busy and when I blink, hours have passed by in a blur. Rosalie had her first physical therapy session last week and it didn’t go so well. She was hungry and angry the whole time. But we learned a few exercises to do with her at home and I’ve been on top of that all day every day.
The biggest thing was finishing her nursery! I love it so much; it was exactly what I had envisioned when we started putting it together. The only thing that’s missing now is her crib, but we have that in our bedroom as a side-car type deal to our bed. She’ll probably sleep in there until she’s at least a year old. But now there’s room for all her things and places to display her books and toys and a place to change her that doesn’t involve me bending halfway over and ruining my back.
Finally, I read a TON. Mike’s long off was this week (he gets 8 days straight once a month) and I got so much reading done. I finally read one of the Captive Prince short stories I’d been saving for a rainy day, as well as a poetry collection I’d been putting off forever. I also finished We Are Okay by Nina LaCour which was heartbreaking.
