I’ve found yet another tag on YouTube that I haven’t actually been tagged to do, but I’m doing it anyway. The Bookstore Book Tag was created by Britt Reads.

The beginning of your trip. You walk into a bookstore and you instantly feel happy: Name a book that has the perfect beginning.

feed

This one was easy since I’m reading it right now. But basically it opens with the main characters in a horde of zombies and they JUMP OVER THEM ON A MOTORCYCLE.

That sad moment when they don’t have the book you were looking for: Name a book that made you bawl your eyes out.

jellicoe road

If you read Jellicoe Road and didn’t cry, I don’t even have words for you.

That moment you’re just looking around and find a random book that just speaks to you: Name a hidden gem.

underneath everything

Oh my god this book is amazing. Toxic homoerotic f/f friendship OF MY DREAMS.

That moment you finally find the book that you were looking for: Name a book that you’ve waited months and months for to be released.

So I read Illuminae like five months before it came out, which meant the wait for Gemina was EXTRA long and excruciating. And then I got Gemina at BEA.

And I didn’t read it.

And I still haven’t.

I’m the worst.

That moment you see a book with a gorgeous cover and you just have to have it: Name a book you bought purely because of its cover.

six-of-crows

When I bought this, I wasn’t sure I would like it. I hated the Grisha books. But loooook at it. I had to have it. Luckily, I fucking loved Six of Crows and it’s now a FAVE.

That moment you have to pay a lot of money for your books but still feel very happy you finally have them: Name a book that made you suffer, but you were still happy about it.

graceling

Seriously, I could have used Six of Crows for this question, too, but Graceling is a perfect fit. There’s a lot of joy to be found here, but you have to earn it. There were a LOT of tears.

Walking out of the bookstore feeling super happy and excited: Name a book with the perfect ending.

dangerous-girls

I’m sure you’re tired of me screaming about this book but if you haven’t read it yet, you NEED to. That ending, guys.

It’s always nice to take a little trip through the bookstore, don’t you think?

Tagging anyone who wants to join!
